99 and out (Lassie Departs).

Photogarphed early December.....(Midland Bird Images).

Photographed Late February (Midland Bird Images).

The first winter drake Lesser Scaup found at Draycote Water by (R Mays) on 27th November 2007 departed just one day before its 100th day. Lassie as Richard nicknamed him gave very good views to the hundreds of birders that came to see him. Ever faithfull to the toft bay area of Draycote Water it could be found feeding with a small group of Tufted Ducks, he has been well photographed during his 99 day stay.It now looks like he paid a brief visit to Brandon Marsh yesterday where he was again photographed, but there was no sign today.
